Pastor Kevin and his wife both accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior in April 1982. They committed themselves to the Lord in 1985, in a small new work in New Hampshire (Merrimack Valley Baptist Church). He and his wife served in that church for fifteen years, under the strong leadership and expositional teaching of Pastor Larry Clouse.
Pastor Kevin spent four years of intense study of the Bible through Moody Bible Institute out of Chicago. In addition, he studied for two years with the Christian Counseling and Education Foundation in Philadelphia, and two years with the National Association of Nouthetic Counselors (NANC, now ACBC), through which he is nationally certified. He is also certified by the International Association of Biblical Counselors (IABC).
Pastor Kevin has a lifetime of experience as an entrepreneur, husband, father, biblical counselor, and pastor. He has travelled to many churches in New Hampshire and Massachusetts training pastors and lay people in how to use the Word of God to counsel those in need of help in any situation of life. He has counseled hundreds of people throughout the years and has had the privilege to see many come to Christ through this ministry as well as witnessing the power of God’s Word as it changes lives.
He and his family moved to Massachusetts in 2000 to assist another pastor in a new work and to help implement biblical counseling in that church. He served, ministered to, and counseled many in that local church for seven years.
The Essex River Bible Church (now called The River Bible Church) was founded on June 11, 2007 in his home. God is graciously blessing this ministry. We are seeing folks saved, baptized, growing, and serving the Lord with great joy.
Pastor Kevin is an expositional preacher. He preaches verse by verse on Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wednesday evenings. He also teaches a separate Bible Study and is available for counseling, free to anyone in need of help.
He and his wife Tammy reside in Essex. They have two children, both are married. They are blessed with three grandchildren at this time.
